UNIQUE PANORAMA!

With this view from the summit of Lake Constance, the city and the Alps, thoughts come to rest and stress is put into perspective. Each of the two cabins can comfortably accommodate 80 people. You float silently and environmentally friendly towards the mountain. Even small children and wheelchair users can enjoy the incomparable view over the border triangle of Switzerland, Germany and Austria through the low windows while driving. Entrances and exits on the same level make the cabins easy to reach, nine seats are available.

Those who don't shy away from the short but challenging ascent can conquer the 600 meters in altitude from Bregenz themselves. Those who prefer a more relaxed approach or want to use the summit as a starting point for more extensive tours can use the Pfänder cable car or the local buses to Fluh, Eichenberg, Möggers or Langen.

The excursion is also worthwhile in terms of gastronomy. There are numerous inns and snack bars to choose from around the mountain station and along the educational cheese trail to Lutzenreute. For example, anyone who has stopped off on a hike in the Trögerstüble, the Gasthof Paradies or Moosegg will definitely return. Kaiserschmarren and bacon dumpling soup in the "Moosegg" are a treat for body and soul, especially on autumn days.

There is a dense network of hiking and cycling trails around the Pfänder, which is equally enjoyable for walkers and ambitious amateur athletes.

Pfänderbahn Timetable

Daily  8.00 - 19.00, travel time 6 minutes
Every full and half hour. Intermediate trips for 10 or more people every 15 minutes

After a comprehensive quality control, the Pfänderbahn was certified as the "Best Austrian Summer Mountain Railway" by the Association of Austrian Cable Cars. The seal of quality guarantees a high-quality offer on the mountain.

Between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m., passengers on the Pfänderbahn can take their bikes with them free of charge.
