CYCLING ON LAKE CONSTANCE. Exploring the landscapes around Lake Constance by bike is probably one of the most beautiful ways to experience the diversity of this destination. The excellently developed long-distance cycle route, which is mostly flat with a total length of 284 km, promises atmospheric views along the lakeshores. Thanks to numerous hotels and accommodations, overnight stays during the cycling tour can be planned well in advance, ensuring several days of cycling pleasure at Lake Constance. Whether flat, perfectly prepared cycling routes in the lowlands or challenging trails in the area of the Pfaender, everyone will find their own personal route here.

There's nothing like a weekly shop at the market. Fresh produce from the region, fresh air and perhaps also fresh news from the city? The best thing is to stroll through the weekly market in Bregenz city centre in bright sunshine and be inspired by the abundance of goods on offer. This experience is simply unbeatable, which is why the market days in Kaiserstraße, Kornmarktplatz and Leutbühel are so popular. It is a weekly ritual for the people of Bregenz to do their shopping in the centre on market days, sit in one of the cafés and celebrate life. People meet and exchange ideas at the market. The offer of the local farmers leaves nothing to be desired in terms of quality and variety, but products from the south also arrive on site in fresh quality.

Fortunately, in addition to the two market days, which are a fixed part of life in Bregenz all year round, other offerings also find their place in the city, such as the small version with a handful of selected market stalls every Wednesday at Leutbühel and every Thursday in Clemens-Holzmeistergasse in the Vorkloster - where vegetables, poultry and products from Carinthia are offered.

At the regional organic market, local farmers show how many, healthy foods are grown in the region. Italian flavours and specialities, on the other hand, are brought to the centre of Bregenz by the Italian market in April for epicurean weekends.

PFÄNDER - THE ADVENTURE MOUNTAIN ON LAKE CONSTANCE

THE MOST EXCITING VIEWPOINT IN THE REGION. Cover around 600 metres in altitude in six minutes and experience a different world - on the 1064 m high Pfänder, with lots of nature and a panoramic view of 240 Alpine peaks and Lake Constance. Families will enjoy the playground at the mountain station. Deer, ibex, wild boar, mouflon and marmots cavort in the Alpine Game Park. The best view is on the 360° panorama terrace above the new seminar room. Whether a leisurely 30-minute round hike through the Alpine Wildlife Park or a sporty tour from the valley to the Pfänder peak - the Pfänder is the ideal starting point for exploring the landscape. The rustic Pfänderdohle inn invites you to stop for a bite to eat from September to May. Relax on the train to the Pfänder and cycle over the mountain: from 08:00 to 10:00, bicycle transport is free of charge.
