Giant flying boats, nostalgic passenger planes and exciting exhibits from space travel make a visit to the Dornier Museum Friedrichshafen on Lake Constance a unique experience for the whole family. In the immediate vicinity of the airport, the museum houses around 400 exhibits on 5,000 square meters. In addition to numerous original aircraft, the two replicas Dornier Wal and Dornier Merkur are highlights of the exhibition and bring the pioneering spirit of the 1920s to life.

Countless world records, patents and technical feats document the impressive history of the Dornier company. Political, economic and social conditions show what moved and motivated people in the respective eras. The large terrace of the DO-X restaurant offers a unique view of the zeppelin hangar opposite: here you can watch the zeppelins take off and land and the scheduled traffic of Friedrichshafen Airport to your heart's content. In the creative corner and with the mini-pilots, even the little museum visitors can take off. The new Do 27 flight simulator makes the dream of flying come true with a virtual sightseeing flight over Lake Constance.
