ARRIVING IN BREGENZ

Bregenz is easy to reach by all means - whether by car, bicycle, bus or train. If you arrive by car, there are sufficient parking facilities. You can find more information about parking here. Furthermore, there are 3 train stations: Bregenz, Bregenz Riedenburg and Bregenz harbor. There is also an excellent bus network within Bregenz.

... ON THE WATER

There are several ways to experience Bregenz on the water:

Take a boat trip with Vorarlberg Lines. We recommend for example the Dreiländer Panaoramafahrt with a duration of about 2 hours or the round trip in the Bregenz Bay with a duration of about 1 hour. 

Of course you can also be your own captain and rent a boat. There is a boat rental directly at the lake promenade, in a few minutes you are in the middle of Lake Constance. Relax from everyday life in the middle of the water. 

...ON THE MOUNTAIN

Are you drawn rather high up? Then the Pfänder is just the thing for you! You have various possibilities to experience Bregenz on the mountain:

With the Pfänderbahn you can reach Bregenz's local mountain in just 6 minutes. This means there is more time to enjoy. During the ride, a beautiful view of the city awaits you. Once at the top, you will experience a unique panoramic view over the entire Lake Constance and 240 Alpine peaks of Austria, Germany and Switzerland, that makes the Pfänder the most famous viewpoint in the region.

... AT THE LAKE

There are several ways to experience Bregenz on the lakeside: 

Stroll along the lakeside promenade and harbor and enjoy the maritime flair with a refreshing ice cream in hand. One of the most beautiful places on the lakeside promenade are the sunset steps at the Molo. Here you can linger comfortably with a wonderful view of the bustling activity on Lake Constance. Especially the beautiful sunsets that Lake Constance has to offer can be enjoyed from these steps. Get caught up in the vacation feeling and relax at the Bregenz Marina - the sunny south of Austria. 

If you are looking for the perfect place to cool off, Bregenz also offers the perfect opportunities to escape the heat. With its location directly on the shores of Lake Constance, Bregenz has some beautiful places to offer for optimal cooling off and relaxation. Visit the lido or also the Mili - the old military bath - at the Pipeline and spend nice hours at and in Lake Constance.

Around the Pfänder there is a dense network of hiking and biking trails that are equally enjoyable for walkers and ambitious amateur athletes. For example, the afternoon can be wonderfully spent hiking along the cheese nature trail. This leads for 8 km over pastureland on the edge of forests and offers a magnificent view of Lake Constance. For a leisurely walk on the Pfänder plateau, the Alpine Game Park is particularly suitable. This is located right next to the mountain station. On a circular path of about 30 minutes you can discover various animals, such as ibexes or marmots. 

All around, the Pfänder, as the mountain on Lake Constance, offers a unique interplay between meadows, forests and the expansive view of Lake Constance.
